Lady in Red

This past weekend we celebrated my stepdad's retirement! He has been a veterinarian for over 40 years in Columbus so we threw a great party to celebrate and honor his success! It was so nice to hear all the stories of lives he touched over the course of his career from his many friends and clients. Not only did he touch many lives, but he also saved many animals with no homes through the catch-spay-release program that was set up in Columbus. He has done so many amazing things over his 40+years and it was so special to be a part of honoring him on his big day.

Sawyer and I dressed up in our favorite mommy-and-me complimentary outfits for the occasion. I LOVE this dress - it is a perfect business-casual dress, very slimming and flattering, and if you want to make it a little more business, a simple blazer over the top looks great! I love this dress so much that I have it in 2 colors - red and blue - and am contemplating getting it in black also! The back detailing is simple but eye-catching. The red really pops with my shoe soles too! This has definitely become a go-to dress for church, business, and non-formal affairs!

Sawyer's outfit was supposed to be for Christmas but we ended up being much more casual when we saw Santa! This little bow tie melts my heart and - the entire outfit is on SALE!
