Kula Revolving Sushi is OPEN!

Last week I was #blessed to be invited to the soft opening for Kula Revolving Sushi in Doraville, and let me tell you, after just one visit I know this is going to be my new go-to sushi spot!

For those of you who have never been to a revolving sushi restaurant, it is exactly what it sounds like but so much better than any of the other ones I have tried all over the country. Next to your table or booth is a little conveyor belt that goes all around the entire restaurant. The sushi rides by on the belt and you take what you want and pay per plate. Kula has a great system set up so that each plate is a flat rate - other places I have been to have different prices depending on the color of the plate and then you end up getting confused how much you are actually spending. Not only do you not have to keep track of the # of plates because there is a screen that does it for you every time you deposit your empty plate, but you are also rewarded with a little prize after 15 plates!

But wait Kristin, how do you know how long that sushi has been riding around on that belt? Kula has another part of their system set up to get rid of any plates that have spent too much time on the conveyor belt before it goes "bad." You don't have to worry about eating sushi that has been there for hours - but really, I did not see many plates that were not fresh plates going around, the place was so packed that new items were constantly being added!

If sushi isn't your thing but you still want to go out for a fun dinner date, Kula also has other menu options including noodle bowls and Asian tacos! These, along with dessert and other items, can be ordered separately on your screen at your table and are sent out on the special top level conveyor belt - they come flying out of the kitchen and stop at your table so you don't have to worry about someone else snagging your special order! This is where I ordered the Banana Tempura dessert and it was unbelievably good!

One thing I have barely talked about still is just how good the food tastes. It is amazing, and would you know that it is ORGANIC! I had so many options of cooked sushi that I got to try, and the raw options Cody had he said were "really good" because you know guys don't say things are "so delicious!" :D There were also even a few options that our 16 month old liked including the fried sticky rice and my banana tempura!

Since we went last week and I shared video from my experience on my Instagram and Facebook, I have heard back from some of you and you ALL said that you loved the place and can't wait to go back! We are so lucky to have such a great new sushi spot in town that is entertaining and also easy on the wallet! One of my friends went with her husband and they ate their fill for right around $20!

For more on Kula check out their fun video below!

Be sure to visit the new location for lunch and dinner here in the Atlanta area at 6035 Peachtree Blvd Ste A107-A110 Doraville, GA 30360 - you can find them situated between BrandsMart USA and Super H Mart!

Let me know what you think - I can't wait to hear more feedback about my new favorite sushi spot!

Much love,

Kristin
