Rejuvenated with the Rejuvapen

If I could go back and tell my younger self some things, one of those would be to wear sunscreen and stay out of the dang tanning bed! I used to LOVE to fake bake til I was golden like a McDonald's hash brown y'all and while I though it was cute in 2002 it did like 2002% more damage to my face than if I had just listened to my mom and lathered on the SPF. Here we are not quite 20 years later and I have been battling age for nearly half of that time with different in office treatments like Dysport, Botox, Xeomin, as well as OTC things promising to make my skin more glowing and youthful. I have tried micro needling and derma planing at home and didn't have much success so I knew it was time to go see the pros. While the other in-office treatments had put a pause on my wrinkles, my texture of my skin was just very blah.

I made an appointment at Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery with their in-house Esthetician, Heather Davis. Heather (pictured above) is AMAZING y'all - she is a Licensed Esthetician and a Certified Assistant Laser Practitioner with over 20 years of experience. Now when you see Heather, if you are a numbers person, you will take one look at her glowing, youthful skin and think she must have started working at age 10 to have 20 years of work on her resume. She is a walking talking testimonial on what the services they offer can do for your skin - she looks GREAT!

We began our consultation by taking some DEEP picture of my skin, and I was clutching-my-pearls horrified at how deep and bad the damage was! Sun damage is not skin deep - it goes sooooo many layers down and you can see some of the problem areas. Combine that with usual age damage and pregnancy hormones wrecking havoc on my skin twice, you can see there was a lot wrong.

Don't adjust your screen - that is not a Dalmatian puppy but rather my skin on the Visia screen. After looking at the different levels and discolorations on my face, Heather determined that the best thing for me would be the Rejuvapen. Their website best describes it as "

a remarkable, non-laser, non-surgical treatment that causes skin to stimulate collagen production and fresh, new tissue. Skin tightens; wrinkles, fine lines, scarring, and hyperpigmentation significantly diminish; pores become finer; and the overall health and circulation of the skin is improved.

We let the numbing cream sit and do its job for about 20 - cue "I can't feel my face when I'm with you" by The Weeknd please and thank you! After that we were ready for the treatment!

Heather applied the serum and went to work on my skin. The procedure wasn't too uncomfortable and after a little while felt like just a vibrating skin brush. After applying some more serum and giving me directions for the rest of the week, I was on my way! The whole in-office time was less than an hour! The next few hours my skin did just as Heather said it would - it would look like a sunburn and kinda feel like one too.

This photo was taken approximately 2 hours after treatment.

This was taken the same evening, and you can see the redness has intensified. I had been applying the serum every hour as instructed, and then over the next few days twice a day.

The day after - just a little pink, but WOW the texture and appearance looks SO different!

No makeup, filter, or editing on the above pic - just super smooth skin!

Not only does my skin look better, but my makeup goes on so much better, wears better throughout the day, and I am applying way less of it since my imperfections are much less noticeable. It may take several treatments for it to be as close to flawless as possible, but I have to say how much I LOVE the results and look forward to my next treatment!

Thank you so much to Heather and Robinson Facial Plastics for letting me share about my experience, and as always remember new patients get a $50 discount when you mention my name when you book or at your appointment!

Stop doing what I was for years - wasting my money trying anything and everything over the counter, and go see the pros at Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery!

Much love,

Kristin
